Medica Smart Digital Thermometer
This thermometer complies with European standard EN 12470-3 for the use of clinical thermometers. It meets the specifications of the performance of compact electrical thermometers with maximum device.

HOW TO MEASURE TEMPERATURE
Taking an Axillary Temperature: Wipe the underarm with a dry towel and place the probe tip under the arm. Position the arm. (Approximate measuring time: 30 seconds).
Taking an Oral Temperature: Place the probe tip under the tongue as near as possible to the heat pocket (Approximate measuring time 20 seconds). Make sure that the thermometer doesn't move. Close your mouth and breathe normally.
Taking a Rectal Temperature: Apply a water-soluble lubricant to the probe cover. Gently insert the probe (MAXIMUM1/2"") into the rectum. (Approximate measuring time: 10 seconds).
HOW TO REPLACE THE BATTERY
The battery in your digital thermometer needs to be replaced when the following sign appears in the lower right corner of the display.
For replacing the battery, pull the battery cover away from the unit, pull up the battery set, and replace the battery with a 1.5V, LR1130 alkaline type or equivalent.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Before and after each use, clean the thermometer with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol diluted with water, or wash with COLD soapy water. The unit can be submerged in water or alcohol. Do not soak for an extended period of time or sterilize by boiling method, gas, or steam autoclaves.
PRECAUTIONS OF USE
In case of high temperature for an extended period seek medical advice.
The thermometer should only be used under the supervision of an adult.
Do not walk, run or talk during temperature taking.
Do not store the unit where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, dust, extreme temperatures, or humidity.
Do not boil, fold, drop or disassemble the thermometer.
How to Use:
Press the ON/OFF button to activate the thermometer. The unit is in proper operating condition when it beeps and displays.
When ""L"" and flashing °F displays, the thermometer is ready for temperature measuring.
The beep sounds and the °F stops flashing when temperature measuring is complete.
For switching off the unit press the button ON/OFF. Auto-off after eight minutes.
To see the last taken temperature, press the button ON/OFF, the last measurement will appear with an ""M"" in the right corner.
